Qipan Mountain is the remaining part of Hadaling from Changbai Mountain. There is a huge stone chessboard on its top. According to legend, Eight Immortals went to Changbai mountain pool in the sky, on their way back to Penglai, Lv Dongbin and Tieguai Li found that there was a big stone like a chessboard on the top of the mountain, and they played a game here. Qipan Mountain was named after it. Visitors can climb "Laohukou", pass "Jianpingguan", climb "Qibujin", look back at "Shixianren", and then go straight to the summit from "Ladder to the Sky" to see the "Ancient Chessboard Site". Qipan Mountain is undulating, steep but not dangerous, with lush forests and winding trails. There is a feel of "no people seen in the empty mountain, but some words heard behind the dense forest". There are attractions such as "Guanqi Pavilion", "Linxiu Pavilion", and "Xingluo Shiping" on the top. Climbing up to Linxiu Pavilion, you can see mountains, trees and lakes all under your feet.
